SEPT. 13TH

AFTER WRITING ABOUT 150 WORDS, I MADE A MISTAKE  LOOKING  FOR  the spell check and  could not  get  my  words  back,

Today follows  the  plein aire  world wide  paint out  at the  town center of  OCALA.
Besides  the  rain , there  were  other  distractions that  seemed to make  it a  dismal day for  selling painitngs. I have  complained  before  about  not  selling  at these  events . When I  lived in Louisiana, I  was  chair-person for  an art  show  connected  to a festival in my hometown.  THere  again, people  wanted  the  artist  to pay fees, frame  work, haul, and  damage  their   works  but  not  make  one  sale. I know  we  artist  are  doing  what  we  love and  would  paint even  though sales  are  far  and  few  between. I was  able  to communicate   ALL THESE  FEELING  AND  FRUSTRATIONS with  two lovely artist  .
I did  find my day enjoyable   DUE  TO BEING  WITH  NANCY MOSKOVICH AND  JARRY STAPLETON AT THE BLAKELY HOUSE.
NANCY IS  AN EXCELLENT  PAINTER AND  HAS  ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS  I CAN  ONLY TRY TO IMITATE.   HER  INVITATION  to paint  with her  on the porch of this  beautiful gift store, restuarant, spa was  heaven sent. Beside  a  warm welcome, while  we  painted, we  were  treated  to coffee and  muffins  by the  staff of this  historical house.
I plan to return. I did  paint  the  following from the  porch:
We  take  a   bit  of  each person with us   as  we  make  these  jouneys  through  life. That  day  with OCTAGANRIAN  Jarry Stappleton gave  me  the  affirmation that  convinces  me  even though I don't  sell , I am still one  of the  blessed people  who try to call themselves  artist  or  painters. Knowing what   Jarry has  overcome ,I watched  her climb steps and  haul her  supplies to this  spot   and  that  . Her  efforts   and  zeal tell me  that  what  I desire and  strive  for is  real. I am not  chasing  butterflies or  clouds.(except to paint  them)...but  I am answering    an inner  drive  .

Carole, I am touched by all your kind words. Thank you so much. Thanks too for the fabulous shout out.
I'd be upset at that photo of "my grandmother's arm," but both photos are as good as photos of me get. I'm a camera breaker.
