Pastel demonstration for oak run . I tried to paint..not draw.

I teach drawing this week...and pastel 

I plan to have students in beginning drawing class, draw...or render pieces of drift wood.

Looking east to St.George island

I have not been able to paint on the porch of JOLLYMON because of the constant sun . It is not contrructed so that old people who cannot stay is direct sunshine that long...could find a corner of shade. 

I ran into Randy the local raccoon this morn. He was just leaving pool. I could see his  paw prints so I know he had his daily drink and  or

swim..plus now there are two crabs in pool.AH JOLLYMON ...a bit too zoo like.

What we came here for.

Really says it all. Cannot enjoy a moment more. Here are a few of the moments I captured.

Next door the kayaks color in the afternoon sun caught my eye. I rendered them in pastel.

And the red chair by the white fence....shadows of mid day....
