St. George island
Painting ,drawing, walking beach, looking for shells, visiting with friends. A touch of heaven wouldn't you say?
Here are paintings I have started.
What am I trying to say with these renderings?

Today's pastel class
After four weeks of sharing new pastel techniques with OAKRUN students, I felt there was progress for me as a teacher and for them as students.

Direction
I need to turn around...look at the direction my art needs to take. When a door closes, and I do think doors are closing...my ability to teach classes and show my work has begun to change.
These are paintings I have done this past week.
Shalom park allows me to try the news skills I learned in the two workshops taken this past March in St.George Island. The second painting is from my time on the island...it is a watercolor.

Things I learned these two weeks
Where do you get your strength or courage to continue painting? If it is from the approval of mortals, you run the risk of not having approval...hence no strength.
In one workshop, I gained wonderful approval and a new way to approach my handling of the painting...in an other...I met frustration..almost wanting to never paint or teach again.
I intend that both will make me stronger.
I realize I must get my strength from me...my innerds...
Here are some of the paintings I have done this week...and last....some are not finished...well...I never feel that they are finished...I could pick them to death.
