PASTEL PAINTINGS

MATTING THESE PAINTINGS HAS  BEEN FUN AS  WELL AS CHALLENGING.  I found that the activity of matting paintings made  me ...really forced  me  to look at what  was it I tried  to capture  or  what was  my focus. Severall of my intructors used  different  words but it  came  down to what  caught  your  eye in the  first place?

HELLO
THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE  FOLLOWED MY BLOG. I BOUGHT A NEW LAP TOP
BECAUSE MY OLD COMPUTER BOUGHT IN 2002 COULD NOT LOAD MY PICTURES IN A TIMELY FASHION.

Many new paintings are going to appear in the next days . I have  been drawing and painting in my usual profuse manner. However, the paintings will be smaller than my usual wall sized murals. I jest but  not that  much.

The above drawing is  from my ipad and  appears  on a T shirt I had produced. One of  my friends TOLD ME
that  she  jokingly said this  to the  cashier at  grocery store one  early morn as she  went through check out...she  had  purchased wine and  cookies for  her  card  group who  would be her  company later that  night. Wise  people go to the  grocery store early before it  turns  into a zoo of  people.
I have  been  drawing a number of things  on my ipad and  even teaching a class in how  to do this using a program called ipastel.
Here are  a  few paintings and  drawings. Some of  these were  done on a trip ,from car, in a doctors office.
